The preview lunch:

In May 2017, 160 SURSA members and our interviewees were invited to a splendid lunch hosted by the University and held in Pathfoot dining room. The lunch was generously funded by an unknown benefactor and was arranged by Angela Smith with support from Director of Advancement Kerry Bryson. We are immensely grateful to all of them. We are aso grateful to the many university staff who made this such a memorable occcasion.

• In an after-lunch speech The Principal, Professor Gerry McCormac, welcomed everyone and noted the role SURSA plays in the life of the University.

• Sally Brown gave an address marking the award of a Doctorate of the University to Angela Smith for her services to the University and to SURSA. Sally presented Angela with a superb bouquet of flowers.
• Following lunch, SURSA members and our interviewees had an opportunity to preview the Oral History website which is now fully online. Christina Sommerville explained the development of the project and Lindsay Ross demonstrated the web site to an almost full house in the Pathfoot lecture theatre.
